Au: glaring, gleaming, glistening, glittering, glossy

Remember 2002 when one wouldn't be caught dead in gold, "only sterling would touch this skin", Ag conquered Au everytime, etc? We were snobs of the highest echelon. That's what high school does to young maidens. Makes them picky about things from the periodic table of elements and clop around like young Clydesdales in their mommy's taller church shoes.
I confess that sometimes I like to think that I still like silver best, but really...
let's grow up* and go gold.

Things that I love: in GOLD

*When I say grow up, I'm not really imploring you to become a typical person. Being mature takes its toll. What a typical statement. I'm feel blase even saying it. I mean stay young without the dramatics and traumatics. Grow fun.

But learn to walk in heels. I can't say this enough.

Clearly Obsessed: Clothes

I wish I could dress cool every day, and not like some kind vagabond. It's a well known fact that dancers FOR THE MOST PART dress like the homeless. Sweats on top of sweats on top of 4 other layers of ripped up and sweat-stained articles of clothing, all picked out of the lost and found (in class, you always run the risk of standing next to the original owner of your leotard). If I didn't hobo it up every day of my life this would be my week:

Every Day.

I want to dress like this every single day.
Scarlet O'Hara mixed with Rockabilly and the 50's.
Three of the best things.
Yum.

If you liked it...

I love huge bizarre finger-wear. I'm talking about rings, people.
My ring finger is a tiny 5 and a quarter (tosses hair), so I have a hard time finding the right size rings for my delicate hands (double hair toss). So, you know, know that you have my measurements (whirlwind of hair tossing... Dashboard songs are wrote about this moment).

Just another one of my lists. This time, of ring pretties:

Who doesn't love, and I mean lovelove, vintage rings? via

I may be wrong about the ring...
but I am sure the pretty-darn-close-to-matching bracelet is by Iwona Ludy Design.

I have been wear a very similar eyeball ring lately. Teenagers want to be me. Children fear me.

"A woman’s “memorial poesy ring” from 1592,
made of gold and rock crystal.
On the ring’s inner surface is inscribed,
“The cruel seas, remember, took him in November.” "
When I die, I am forcing Chris to make one of these for the entire family. I just want to keep everyone extremely sad. You know... because I'm extremely extremely  important.

Human Bone Wedding Rings
Disgusting or beautiful?
I tried to convince husband this was the route we should take when talking wedding rings. These rings were made by harvesting bone cells from each of the couple's jawbones.
"Using bioglass, a special bioactive ceramic which mimics the structure of bone material, researchers are growing rings made out of the couples' bone." To read more, click here.

"In a darkened room, light from a candle or LED passes through the ring to project a series of portraits. A selection of miniature slides were made of different family portraits and inserted into the edge of the ring for projection."
