A list to pass the time...

I had a bad day yesterday.

Jessica P, my Wednesday guardian angel of lunchings and munchings, suggested that I write out a list of things that I am grateful for.

Soooooo I did...
and now...

well, now I feel much better.

Today I am grateful for*

*my new gray hoodie. Yes, I finally got a new one... Putting my hood up is my velveteen rabbit and now I have a place to put my cold little hands.
*dancing. I can MOVE! Not only do all my fingers and toes work in the proper manner, but I can use use movement to be expressive. There are a billion more reason as to why I love dancing, but for now I'll stick to this topic: Dancing has given me a mode and a means to say everything and anything, without opening my mouth, but to breath loudly (if you've been to a modern dance show, you know what I'm talking about). Beautiful. I am a lucky lucky girl to be able to dance with the dance company, Body Logic (photo by Jessica P). We are going to conquer the world. Look out, look out.

*my new job... Not only do I have a JOB that gives me the cold hard cash to buy very important necessities, like shoes, fast food, and musical instruments, but I get to see Bonnie every single day... and that is wonderful. I love her. Speaking of family...

*MY FAMILY. Ma famille. Mi familia. Fjölskyldan min. They are mine forever and ever. I can hardly believe they are mine! I come from such a happy, bright, colorful little/big family. I love them very very very very very very very very much. We are going to dance party on the moon and make paper dolls out of stars.
*the rain. Nothing evokes memories and washes away anxiety more, than the smell of rain.

*the coming of summer.*Shady Chapel. Book On Tape Worm. Any other band that I get to jump into. I'm grateful to the talented musicians that I get to spend time with, learn from, and get paying gigs with... Ha. I'm having way more fun then I should be, sans groupies (AH! I completely cannot wait till Emily and Cierra get back from Europe and CA... Librariannes shall reunite at long last and will, indeed, pounce on Scott.)
*the tea parties we are having in the month of May... Now I have a reason to wear my hats.
*my friends, who I also love so very very very very very very very very very much (is anyone else catching the Bright Eyes reference? Anyone? Two times the charm). These beautiful people are individual and talented in so many differing ways... THUS a complete list would be impossible to make. I'll sum it up... I love my friends because they give me oranges and my pick of their thrift clothing, lend me the Steve Madden leather boots that I'm obsessed with and the movie 'Xanadu' for months at a time. They are willing to play model when ever a camera is readily available (esp YOU, Naomi and Mandee), and make me feel pretty. They check my teeth for cilantro bits post eating, keep our inside jokes alive, and play dress up when I want to dress up. They make me laugh every single day, tickle my back when I'm sad, and comfort me when I'm throwing up in a grocery store parking lots (special thanks to B) or at that waffles/fried chicken joint (another special thanks to Rachel). They talk me down from whatever ledge or soapbox I climb on, inspire me into finding adventures everyday, and remind me of the beautiful things that keep me breathing.

I want to go to there.

This is how I predict living by myself will be.

Welcome to my summer.

Figgy Pudding.

This is what it looks like outside right now.
Which puts me in the mood for hot cider,
figgy pudding, and music that features
the hammer dulcimer.

It's April.

There's something wrong with this picture.

Well...

Maybe I will find something amazing to do with all my Springtime/Holiday Spirit energy.
Maybe something along the lines of this:
