I need to pick up some summer reading. A trip to the local library/bookstore/Amazon.com is the order of the day!
Please friends, leave me a comment of what your suggestions are. Gimme book titles of your favorite reads. No judgements, I just want to READ.
I have a great deal of traveling to do in the next two months, and I need something to pass the time on the ten hour (+) plane ride to Berlin, Germany to perform with the Performing Dance Company (Woot! I'm still dancing in Eric Handman's piece Torch), and the much less strenuous jaunt to Atlanta, GA for my brother-in-law's wedding (high fives to Mike and Kelly!).
I sometimes hesitate recommending books because I'm afraid people will hate them... :) with that said, some of my faves are:
ReplyDelete-These is my Words
-The Secret Life of Bees
-The Book Thief
-Jane Eyre
Some that aren't on my favorite list but I read an enjoyed:
-Atonement
-One Day
-The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I also laughed out loud all the way through Tina Fey's book "Bossypants." Funny stuff.
My top 3 recommendations are almost constantly "The House of Silk", by Anthony Horowitz, "The Elegance of The Hedgehog", by Muriel Barbery, and "The Fault in Our Stars", by John Green. However all John Green books are good books, at least by my standards.
ReplyDeleteAbel's Island
ReplyDeleteI've read elegance of the hedgehog and jane eyre and recommend them too> though they are deep//
Abel's Island is just my favourite.
